Teej Vrat Katha

Married women and unmarried girls who hail from the northern parts of India shall observe Hariyali Teej Vrat. On this day, women get dressed in their best attire, preferably green, enjoy the jhoola rides, make natural clay idols of Lord Shiva, Mata Parvati and Lord Ganesha, and perform puja which includes the reading of the Vrat Katha.
